Dona Standel Program & Engagement Coordinator Dona Standel grew up in the San Fernando Valley in a secular environment where being Jewish and Israeli was easy. Moving to San Francisco, she became involved with Hillel and soon after was hired as a Koret Intern and found she was passionate about creating new engaging programs. She also founded the only Jewish-based sorority, Lambda Chi Mu, at San Francisco State University to provide another outlet for Jewish female students to celebrate and connect with each other. Now with a BA in Communication Studies, she continues to work with San Francisco Hillel as the Undergraduate Program and Engagement Coordinator and loves it! dona@sfhillel.org

Shushannah Akin Administrative & Development Assistant Shushannah graduated from San Francisco State University in 2009 and is excited to work for an organization that helped her shape her Jewish identity as a student. While in school she was an active member of Hillel and the Israel Coalition. In 2006 she became an Abraham's Vision Fellow, and traveled to the Balkans where she studied cross conflict analysis between the Balkan Wars and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict while participating in dialogue with Palestinians. Shushannah lives in San Francisco with her partner, Aaron. She spends her free time attending cooking competitions and riding buses in San Francisco as she finishes her odd quest to ride every MUNI line in the city and blog about it. admin@sfhillel.org
